One edge of each board is aligned across the jig. Important to get the height of the cutters correct. The follower on the router table defines the path the jig will track. The joint is routed in one pass and is really accurate and repeatable. The Pins & Tails are left slightly proud for finishing after. The CAD drawing of the jig which shows the path the cutters will follow for the Pins & the Tails. A really fun project.

I copied the design from examples on the web and used CAD to create a solution to suit my cutters and router. The final layout was laser cut out of 4mm mild steel.
